Most popular companies among Indians: Employees eye foreign firms, only BHEL, SBI, TCS make the cut

Indeed.com, one of the world’s largest job portals has released a list ranking the most popular companies for Indians. Surprisingly, only 3 Indian companies have made their way to the top 15 in the ranking of the best places to work in the country. It can now be rightly said that Indian companies are losing their charm among employees in their homeland and people are preferring the foreign ones. According to Quartz India, Indeed.com has come out with such a list for India for the very first time, though it prepares global rankings regularly. Among the top 15 in the list, Indian companies like- Bharat Heavy Electricals(BHEL), State Bank of India (SBI) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have made the cut. Indeed.com has prepared this list on the basis of the size of the company, number of job openings, and economic influence at a national level, according to the report. The data has been collected based on the reviews curated from the site’s hundreds of thousands of company reviews from employees, and also on the basis of both overall and across individual categories.

The report stated that only 10 companies from India are there among the top 50. The top 3 positions have been occupied by Google, which is followed by BHEL and SBi on the third spot. While Amazon grabbed the 4th place, Marriott International was ranked 5th, Intel (6th), American Express (7th), IBM (8th), Tata Consultancy Services (9th) and Hyatt (10th).
