Position Details

Accountable for coordinating and delivering Human Resources services including recruitment, onboarding, coaching and benefits/pension administration, this position is also responsible for technical management, training and user support of Halogen database.

 

Responsibilities Include:

• Participate in recruiting activities, including sourcing candidates, interviewing, candidate evaluation, reference checking, employment letters, manager coaching and onboarding, as required. Coordinate and monitor the status of postings and maintain Starfinder database.
• Provide support to managers and employees related to HR processes, policies and performance management issues.
• Coordinate and audit pension and benefit administration activities and records; develop and deliver education sessions and promote wellness initiatives.
• Manage and maintain Halogen talent management software database, conduct training as required, investigate, implement and communicate enhancements or changes to system.
• Develop and maintain documentation of all department processes and Corporate HR manuals and participate in special projects and assignments as required.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Diploma or post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management.
• 3-5 years’ related experience in providing Human Resources support functions including: performance management, recruitment, onboarding and benefit/pension administration.
• Thorough knowledge of employment standards and other employment related legislation.
• Strong technical ability. Computer proficiency with intermediate to advanced MS Office and talent management software.
• Customer-service focused; demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; experience or training in developing and/or delivering adult learning is an asset. 
• Accuracy and attention to detail; strong writing and proofreading skills, able to develop reports, collect and coordinate data
• Self-directed and team-oriented; able to multi-task and manage priorities.
• Professional manner, good problem-solving and coaching skills and demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
